Designed for loaded touring

I’ve known Andrew for years and I’m aware that he likes to put lots of miles on his bikes. This bike is designed to do just that. Whether it’s climbing the steep ascents of the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia or through the wooded hills near him home in New York State, this bike will be ready for the job. It is built with durability in mind so the tubing is a slightly heavier gauge and the drivetrain is a near indestructible 3×8. The fillet brazed racks are connected to the cantilever brake posts in the front and rear for rigidity. The lowrider racks in the front are removable if he only wants to use a handlebar bag. The racks have a brushed nickel plating which should hold up to many years of use. The lighting system is an integrated front and rear Supernova which run off of the Shimano Alfine dynamo hub. There is a set of emergency replacement spokes on the drive side chain stay that also act as a chain slap protector. The malachite blue metallic paint highlights the lug lines nicely while the darker blue on the fenders and pump adds a subtle contrast. The bike is solid as a rock and I’m excited to hear his report back after his first tour!
