Jonathan’s bike is the commuter I would make for myself if I were making myself a commuter. The two-tiered rear rack and handlebar front rack make it perfect for some light touring as well. The Campagnolo Record Ti 10-speed group is just as dreamy as I remember.

Building a bike from back to front. Tacking the dropouts while in the fixture and then filling them outside of it. I removed an eyelet and filed to a knife edge on the back (that’s as good as I get, @wintercutlery!). Carving up some lugs next and then joining it all together in a symphony of tubes. :) #dropouts #brazing #bicyclebuilding #chapmancycles

Painting a fillet brazed bottom bracket Cambrian C

Painting a fillet brazed bottom bracket Cambrian Coral from raw to cleared. As a bike builder and painter I will make this bold statement that you can and should paint inside of the bottom bracket shell. The threads *always* get chased afterwards and it’s a little extra rust prevention on a steel frame. But if you don’t, the bike probably won’t explode…depending on the amount of salt on your roads.

Also, please forgive my ignorance of proper white balance. You’d think I’d have this figured this out by now.
